Good-Bye 20's

Well I said Good-bye to my 20's and joined the 30's club on Friday!! I woke up to my living room decorated with PINK streamers and balloons, (which was nice to see since there's not allot of pink around my house) Darin had planned on taking me out to dinner & a movie but Dillon was sick the night before, so we just stayed home and watched a movie and got lunch from the scoop and dinner from VIP! and had a German Chocolate Cake -Yummy-I definitely will be taking a rain check on the date though, an afternoon away from the kids is to nice to pass up.

When I was younger I thought 30 was OLD!, and I couldn't imagine what it would be like to turn 30 and I must say the sound of saying "I'm 30" is a little weird, but one good thing is, I don't feel OLD, (I think mature is a better word) I've accomplished and done allot of things while in my 20's and I'm sure my 30's will be just as memorable!!

Handsome Boys!

Sunday Mornings are not my favorite mornings, it is a true test of my patience to get all three boys and myself up, showered, feed and ready for church by 9:00. And for some reason things do not run smoothly and many times I wish we could just wear jeans and a t-shirt to church.(mainly because my 2 year old suddenly has an opinion on what he wants to wear) But than once everyone is dressed and ready to go I can't help but think "Man I have some Handsome Boys" and they look expecially nice all dressed up in their sunday best!!

Dustin Rodger Jones

Dustin has offically made it half way to his first birthday!! these last 6 1/2 months have gone by way to fast, he's such a happy boy and lights up the room with his silly smile (for some reason when he smiles he has to have his tongue sticking out) He's been rolling over for awhile now, but only from his back to his belly and than gets mad cause he hates to be on his tummy, He likes to grab for whatever we have in our hands, he has caused a few wet t-shirts! His absolute favorite is POPSICLES and his brothers love to feed them to him!! Dustin loves to have his brothers around , He likes to grab their noses and laughs when they yell. He has serious seperation anxiety from his momma, but I have to admite this is one of my favorite stages, I love that he knows who I am and I'm the only thing that can settle him down!! As the months go by I'm sad to watch my baby get so big, but I can't wait to see his little personality, if he's anything like his brothers he'll keep us very busy!!!

Happy 4th of July!!!

The 4th is always a fun Holiday and it's a good excuse to get together with family and friends! We started the day with intentions of going to the candy drop here in town but on our way we saw the ultralights in the air and knew we wouldn't make it, so we headed to the store and promised the boys their very own private candy drop off our balcony!! In the afternoon Aunt Carla took them to the movies to see wall-e, which they loved & A. Carla spoiled them with popcorn & treats!! For dinner we had a BBQ at Jim & Carla's and boy was it yummy! than we let the kids do some sparklers -Dillon loved every minute we couldn't light them fast enough for him. Degan wasn't to sure he kept them at arms length and wouldn't move them around. For fireworks we went to the fairgrounds for the local show, it's nothing huge but perfect for the kids, and somehow Dustin managed to sleep through it all! It was a fun filled day with the family!

San Diego

We just went on our annual trip to San Diego California! We left super early on thursday the 19th and traveled to Chula Vista where the KOA is, we got there in the afternoon and set up camp, than Darin and his brother Tyson went down to the playground to play basketball and Darin hurt his back, so he was out of commision for the rest of the day and friday so we just stayed at camp and rented some bikes for the kids and went swimming at the pool. Saturday was the beach day so we cruised over the bridge to Coronado Island. Dillon loves the beach and got a little to brave in the waves(I thought I was gonna have to go in after him a few times) Degan wasn't to crazy about the water it was way to cold and he kept running away from the waves when they rolled in, he kept saying: Dad lets go home! Sunday we went to Legoland and the kids had alot of fun, expecially Dillon he thought it was pretty cool to see stuff built with legos. (Dillon has his cubby filled with legos and loves to build things with the neighborhood kids & his Dad) They had rooms where you could sit and build stuff and Dillon wanted to hang out and build with the legos but we just didn't have time, so he would get upset, we needed a couple of days for him to be able to do everything, but he still had fun!! Degan just wanted to play at the playgrounds where he could run around like a wild man!! Monday morning Darin went to the ER cause his back was hurting him so bad, they gave him a shot of something to ease the pain & after waiting for over 4 hrs. he got mad and left! he said it was a good thing he wasn't dieing he probably wouldn't have made it!! Even with a trip to the hospital we had a good time and can't wait till next year!!

Baby Dustin

Life at the Jones house has been alot of fun lately, We added another little boy 6 months ago, right before Christmas on December 21. Dustin has been the best baby, but than again he has no choice with two other brothers who need mom's attention to, he's happy in his swing or excersaucer, Dillon & Degan love having him around they dance around and make him laugh, they sing him songs when he cries, and they fight over who gets to hold him. Degan always says "Dustin needs me" Degan is 2 1/2 going on 6, he thinks he's as big as Dillon and tries to do everthing he does, he's our little rugrat (his dad likes to call him) he's obsessed with motorcycles & 4-Wheelers, he's always got one or the other in his hand at all times and he makes us tell him motocycle stories when we put him to bed! Dillon is the best big brother ever he potty trained Degan for us by being scared to go to the bathroom by himself at night so he'd ask Degan if he wanted to go to the bathroom with him and of course Degan would say yes so off they'd go to the bathroom. Dillon also just learned to ride his big bike, where we live it has lots of hills so he has fun zooming down them, not so much fun going up. Darin and I are enjoying having 3 healthy boys, who could ask for more.
