12/12/12 a perfect day for a party!!

Dusty decided that he needed to have a party for his 5th Birthday!! We invited his preschool buddies and Jesse down the street to come make a mess! We feed them pizza and green goblin punch, than played games and let them shoot silly string at the villians! Happy Birthday Buddy we Love You!

Winter Break

1-3-2014 Fort building was on the agenda over winter break!! They were entertained for hours & hours which led to days & days of fun digging and finding bushes for shelter!! There was sand EVERYWHERE in the house, their clothes, and washer & dryer!! HaHa It's a small price to pay to see your kids use their imaginations!!

Football

This was the first year Degan played flag football and he LOVED it!! He got lucky and had some of his best buddies on his team and they kicked butt!! Some how their team had all 1st graders and just a couple kindergartners so they were the team nobody could beat!! Degan did awesome and pretty much scored a touchdown every time he got the ball!! One game he was playing his friend Breckan's team and he told me "If Breckan gets the ball I'm gonna let him score a touchdown!" so Breckan gets the ball and is running to score and is almost there and out of nowhere here comes Degan running as fast as he can and catches up to Breckan and pulls his flag right before he would've scored!! (stinker) I'm kinda bummed about moving these boys would've been so much fun to watch play sports together!!

He's a walker

Dax is officially walking all over the house now!! I'm not sure how I feel about this new accomplishment, my baby is growing up way to fast!

Spotlight

It's Dustin's turn to be the student of the month!! He wants to be a policeofficer when he grows up! his favorite place to visit is the beach! he likes to dance & ride his bike! and he wants lots of Ben 10 toys!! Dustin loves going to preschool and begs us to take him every hour until it's time to go and he even wants to go on the days he doesn't have school!!

Yes Peas!!

I've started feeding Dax more table food and he's liking the peas!! He's always been a good eater so I'm hoping he transitions well to people food!!

It's Turkey Day!!

We decided to host Thanksgiving at our house one last time before we move!! and I must say it was DELICIOUS!! (especially Torrey's banana cream pie Darin & Ty  hid in the back of the fridge!) and of course the kids had a good time hanging out with each other and it was so nice outside they spent most of their time out in the fresh air playing!! 

Top Banana

Degan was the student of the week this last week! He picked out all his pictures for his board and took candy to share for his favorite treat!! He is loving the first grade and being in Mrs. Brooks' class!!

Me Familia

I couldn't decide which edited pictures I liked best so I did collages of both the color pop and seventies!! This year Dustin decided to be the goofball and there were very few pictures of him not making some crazy face and than when he was normal Degan was doing something silly, and than  there were these stupid dogs that kept barking at us so Dax would not smile, but even with all that craziness Monica manages to get some good ones and I always say I only need one good one!!

Poor Mickey!!

Dillon and I pulled up and noticed this mouse looking thing smooshed in between the garage door panels. I'm thinking this can't possibly be a REAL mouse,Dillon agrees and says he thinks Dad is playing a trick on us and put a stuffed mouse in the door! We get out for a closer look and find out that the mouse in our door is NOT a joke and than the boys had go get Thayne & Allison to show them poor Mickey smashed in our garage door :(

FYI: The mouse stayed there until Darin woke up later that afternoon!

Hip Hip Hooray! Its Candy Day!

This year for Halloween Dillon was Where's Waldo! (Which everybody loved) Degan was a Zombie Football player! Dustin was a SWAT police officer and thanks to Aunt Carla Daxton was his inmate! We made Dax an inmate at CCDC where Daddy works and his inmate number is Darin's P number #7638. They all had to go to school on Halloween day and they each had class parties, I was crazy and signed up to be the room mother for Dillon's class, it went well but I probably won't do it again! The week leading up to Halloween was also a lot of fun Degan went to Gavin's Halloween party, they went to a trunk or treat at Lin's and Dillon won first place in the best costume parade! and they also got to hold a snake and Dillon had another piano recital! I'm just glad October is over!

Somebody Call 911

At 5:30 in the morning Darin came in holding his side while pacing the room saying he thinks he needs to go to the ER, so off we went with just Dax and leaving Dillon in charge of sleeping kids. We cruised to Mesquite going 90MPH or more and Darin not being able to sit still and him yelling "hurry, 10 & 2 Tami 10 & 2!" We make it there's in record time and in one piece and they immediately give him an IV and pump him full of drugs and he was pain free in 5 minutes! And after a cat scan we found out he had a 1mm kidney stone.

You've had a Birthday!!

Degan's Birthday was on Sunday and by the previous post Darin & I were in the ER so we missed making him his waffles but Aunt Carla & Uncle Jim took them to McDonald's for pancakes and than Degan scooped poop because he's the birthday boy and he wanted the $3!! We did make it back in time to fix his favorite dinner "chicken wings" and the next day we picked him up from school and took him to the Scoop for lunch!! Happy Birthday Buddy!
