Enjoying the Nice Weather

We've been going out for walks alot lately since it's been sooooo nice outside!! Dillon will ride his bike (just to get out of walking the dog) Degan & I will trade off pushing Dustin & Walking Ruger (He pushes Dustin more cause he doesn't like to walk Ruger either) I'm not sure why the boys don't like to walk the dog, he's old and just mosies along in fact I'm pulling on his leach half the time!! Dustin loves to have Degan push him cause he goes fast, I'm always yelling at him to "SLOW DOWN" I love going for walks with my boys, Dillon always has lots to talk about, it's good one on one time!!

Dustin took a bath with his brothers for the first time tonight!! after our walk! I was feeling kind of lazy and decided to just throw them all in the same tub. He had fun splashing and kicking his legs! He kept looking at himself in the silver thing (I don't know what it is) and would laugh, he even tried to kiss himself a few times which ended up being a bad idea cause he just did a face plant into the water, but he didn't seem to mind he never cried! Lucky for him I'll be doing this more often.

Picture Time

It's that time of year again, as you can tell by my blog we had new family pictures taken! I always try to get pictures of the kids and family once a year, I think it's fun to look back and see how we've all changed! I don't notice the kids growing cause I see them every day but every year when I change there pictures I can't help but think that they are getting so big! and Monica always does a good job catching there little personalities!

Dillon Ross--6yrs.



Dillon is a very good kid, he does whatever he's asked to do, not always with a smile or at the speed we think he should be going (he's distracted easily) but what kid does? He loves going to school, and wishes he could go everyday!! The other day he said: I already know everything we learn in kindergarten; but that's OK cause I still have FUN! He also reported that he does NOT chase the girls on the playground; some of the boys in his class do but he likes to build sandcastles with his buddy Thayne! He has made allot of new friends but doesn't remember there names! He's to cool for Mom & Dad's kisses but kissing his cheek is still OK! He's an awesome big brother and helps me out allot, He loves it when Dustin reaches for him, and is happy to hold him, he just laughs when he pulls his hair or his ears! Him & Degan have a love hate relationship one minute they're fighting and the next they're Best Buddies! Darin & I can't believe Dillon is turning 6 (where do the years go?) We Love You!

Degan Robert--3

Degan is our little ball of energy, I don't think he knows what the word WALK means, he runs wherever he goes, he gets in trouble daily for running down the halls, cause his Dad is downstairs sleeping!! He loves to do whatever Dillon is doing in fact Darin & I can't remember him being a baby for very long cause he grew up so fast, we think he wanted to keep up with Dillon! He loves his brothers and misses Dillon when he's at school, he'll ask if he can go with him at least twice a week. He takes good care of Dustin, he'll run and find him a toy when he cries & than kiss his forehead & tell him "It's OK Dusty Boy" Degan still likes kisses from his Mom & Dad, he'll pucker up anytime we ask for a kiss! We love this little boy he truly keeps us laughing, with his silly faces & things he'll say & do! We love You!

Dustin Rodger--9 mo.
It's true what they say about the baby of the family, at only 9mo. he has everyone wrapped around his little finger!! He is spoooield! in fact I blame my household duties not getting done on him. He has a face that melts our hearts & we hate to see him cry. He has been doing the "army crawl" for over a month now, I keep waiting for him to take off crawling but he'll get on all fours and sway back & forth, than plop down to his belly & scoot to where ever he wants to go!! He's pretty fast and the boys like to make him chase different toys. He hates to eat sweet potatoes & green beans he'll take one bite make a funny face and refuse to eat another bite he'll turn his head or hold his lips shut tight, he does it every time I try to feed him those veggies! We have really enjoyed our baby boy & wish we could keep him small just a little longer but can't wait to watch him grow. We love You !

Dustin's 1st Haircut

Handsome Boy, after his haircutI finally decided to cut Dustin's hair, even though Darin didn't want me to. The poor kid's bangs grew kinda goofy into a point right between his eyes and they would bug him, he also had some really long baby hairs on the top of his head that never fell out, So he was in need of a little trim! He did pretty good, except for when he would try to grab my scissors! Darin misses his long scraggly hair and thinks he looks older, I how ever think he looks very Handsome.

Crazy Fish

We got a little bored yesterday evening so we decided to take the boys out to Echo Bay to see the "crazy fish" Dillon has been out there before with the Doty's but Degan has never seen them so we thought it was about time for him to witness the crazy feeding frenzy that happens when you throw in a piece of bread!! He was a little scared at first but quickly warmed up (as you can tell by the picture!) He was a little disappointed when the bread ran out but he still had allot of fun!! We'll return in another 3years for Dustin to see the crazy fish!! (if the lake is still around)

Spoiled Rotten

I'll be the first to admit that YES my boys are "Spoiled Rotten" Dillon decided he wanted a red DS for his birthday,and would bug us almost everyday to go buy him one at wal-mart. We looked on ebay to try and get a good deal (we even told the poor kid that we won one and it would be coming soon in the mail so he would leave us alone). One day Darin got called in for some over time and Dillon turned on the water works, and Darin felt so bad he told him he'd bring him home a surprise! You guessed it a Red DS! Degan had been asking for a blue one for his birthday too, but we thought he just wanted one because Dillon wanted one. A almost 3 year old can't possibly be coordinated enough to play Super Mario Brothers. Boy were we wrong He's pretty dang good! and after listening to them fight over Dillon's for a couple weeks, Darin came home with a surprise for Degan! You guessed it a Blue DS! So they got their B-day presents a little early (OK a lot early) They are having a lot of fun playing them!
Funny Story: Since Degan got his DS it hasn't left his side. he takes it everywhere with him, and I mean EVERYWHERE, Well today he tried to take it to church with him, I caught him trying to walk out the door with it under his arm, so I tell him to go put it away, he responds: "It's OK Mom" I tell him "I don't think the bishop would be too happy with you taking your DS to church" he scrunched up his nose and makes a uugggghhh sound and marches over and puts it on the counter!! It was pretty funny, I wonder if he was thinking: "My buddies in nursery will really like my Blue DS!!!"

These are just a few of the funny places Degan has fallen asleep in the last couple of weeks! Before Dustin came along I would go and lay with him in his bed to put him down for his naps, but now I just can't get there nap times coordinated so he's on his own and many days he won't take one at all. I love sleeping pictures especially goofy ones!!

Some Serious Road Rash

Well Dillon had his first major accident yesterday-poor kid. Darin & I were gone to the back to school night and Ann & Jon came to watch the kids while we went & we would watch their kids while they went. While we were gone the kids went out to ride scooters (we have lots of hills so they have tons of fun zooming down them!) Dillon was cruising down the big hill and hit one of those yellow dots in the middle of the road that keeps the lanes separated, it made him loose control and he flipped off his scooter and got "Some Serious Road Rash" and bruised his hip pretty good too, Darin had to carry him around the rest of the night cause he couldn't walk. He woke up limping around & didn't want to go to school today, so I didn't make him go, but later he told me that when kids are absent, on the day they come back the class sings them a welcome back song!!! and he seemed a little too excited that he was going to get sang to tomorrow!! The moral of this story is make your kids wear helmets.

Degan Found The Holy Ghost!!

Today we went to Granny & Papa's to see them before they left on vacation for a week, and Granny has all her Halloween decorations up in the house (She a little early but she LOVES this time of year with all the Holidays!) and Degan spotted a ghost and got super excited and yelled: THE HOLY GHOST-THERE'S THE HOLY GHOST!! we all got a good laugh, I think Granny laughed so hard her eyes started to water! Silly Kid! So if any of you are looking for the Holy Ghost it's at Degan's Granny's House!!

The Holy Ghost-Oooo Spooky!

Our Nephew Ryker was Baptized yesterday and this lady was giving a talk on the Holy Ghost, and as soon as she said "Holy Ghost" Degan looked at me with his eyes open as wide as he could get them and says "Holy Ghost-Ooooo Spooky" and he started looking around the chapel to see if he could spot the Holy Ghost! I assured him that the Holy Ghost was something good not spooky, and that he's in our hearts to help us be good. The lady continued with her talk and mentioned to the kids who were being baptized something about carrying the Holy Ghost in their hearts. Degan got really excited and said "Mama The Holy Ghost in My Heart!" kinda loud. Later when we were leaving Darin asked him: Where is the Holy Ghost? and Dillon chimed in and said: I think we left him back at the pool (baptismal font) that upset Degan and he began to cry and yelled at Dillon: "NO Billon my heart- he's in my heart!!" Now when we ask him where the Holy Ghost is He points to his chest and says My Heart!! Too Cute! It's amazing how smart kids are.

101 Things You May or May Not Know about The Jones Family!

I saw this on a friends blog and thought it was kinda cool, but it was a lot harder than I thought it would be, it took me about 2 weeks to come up with 101 things!! so anyone up for the challenge give it a try I dare you!!

1. We were the contractors on our house-It was a learning experience and there's allot I would do different!!
2. All My boys have the same initials-including Darin-DRJ
3. If Dillon would've been a girl he would've named Paige. Degan would've been Tatum. & Dustin would've been Brooke!
4. I love living in Logandale-I truly feel like this is HOME

5. Dillon has an amazing memory for a five year old, and he pays attention to detail, if I move something out of the room he notices right away!
6. I don't drink milk, I drink soy milk.
7. I never thought I would spank my kids, but I do, not often and mostly just Degan! (he can be a stinker)
8. I let my kids watch more TV than they should. (what else are you sappost to do when it's 115 degrees outside?)
9. I went to dental assisting school and beauty school.
10. I feel very lucky to be a stay at home mom, I would hate to miss anything my boys do.

44. We would watch movies with a generator up at the water tanks or out at red rock all the time in high school.(we did more making out than watching-haha)

45. We're still Best Friends with our high school friends Cord & LeAnn. and hang out as much as we can-life can be crazy.

53. When I was pregers with Dillon I craved fruit (I'm not a big fruit eater) with Degan I ate A LOT of hot dogs (normally not a big fan of hot dogs) with Dustin I loved eggs and ate them almost every morning.

54. Darin works nights as a CO for the Las Vegas police department. So he makes the camute like so many people from the valley do so his kids won't have to grow up in the city. Thank You we love you for that!

55. Darin loves to day dream about winning the lottery, and how he would spend the money! He has a new plan at least once a month!!

56. We have a yellow lab named Ruger, He is 11 years old, the kids like to take him for walks but he doesn't enjoy it so much, he's a stubborn old dog!!

57. All my boys slept with me when they were babies, I think that made them cuddlers!

58. I play Bunco's with 11 other ladies, It's nice to get out of the house once a month.

59. My favorite song is "Behind Blue Eyes" by Fred Durst. Darin's is "Patience" by Guns-n-Roses. Dillon & Degan's is "Don't you wish your girlfriend was hot like me" by the The Pussy Cat Dolls, they go around the house singing it all the time!!

60. Darin likes to listen to talk radio on his way into work or the Adam Corolla show on his way home.

61. If I could go back to high school I would go back to my sophomore year-best year! Darin would redo all the years, he says he didn't know how good he had it!

62. I wanna go see Oprah before she retires. It would be awesome to be on her favorite things show!

63. We love reality shows, some of our favorite's are: Run's House, The Hills, Tori & Dean, & American Idol.

64. My favorite ice cream is butter pecan, Darin likes double fudge brownie, Dillon likes superman(it's just vanilla with food coloring) Degan & Dustin like them all!

65. Degan would eat a hot dog everyday if I would let him (maybe when I was pregers eating all those hot dogs had something to do with it?)

66. My favorite oldie but a goodie movie is: Pretty Woman or Beaches -Darin's is: The Cutting Edge.

67. Darin & his bro. Tyson went and watched Michael Jordan play before he retired. He was on the Wizard's, they would've loved to see him when he was with the Bulls.

69. Some of the toys we loved to play with: I loved my cabbage patch doll & my little ponies. Darin liked GI Joe action figures. Dillon likes his Lego's (we have the area under the stairs FULL of Lego's) Degan LOVES his power rangers. and Dustin likes his chew toys.

70. I have never broken a bone. Darin broke his finger (actually my bro Bryan broke it in PE) and none of my kids have broken any bones (knock on wood)

71. I have to color my hair every 4-5 weeks (darn gray hair)

72. We love Sea World, it's by far our favorite amusement park, we love not having to wait in lines, and who doesn't love watching animals do cool things!!

73. Darin would like to restore an old classic car someday, he's thinking a mustang.

74. Jobs I've had: Babysat in high school, Pizza Factory in college, Dental Assistant for Dr. Wagner right after I got married, MOM the best job of all!

Darin's Jobs: Landscaping in high school for the summers, Inside Scoop in high school, Glendale in high school, Cement Plant right after high school, Harmon's Grocery Store in the produce section in St. George right before we got married, Accurate Co. Construction right after we were married, and now a Correction's Officer. Man what a hard worker!

76. We own a 2004 Toyota Corolla-the camuter car & a 1998 Chevy Yukon-gas guzzler!

77. Our Favorite Colors are: Mine is Blue, Darin's is Black, Dillon's is Black (cause his dad has brain washed him) Degan's is Red (this week, it changes often!)

78. Our new favorite thing to do as a family is play the Wii, mostly Mario Cart. Dillon beats me every time.

79. We are going to start eating better, and workout more often.

80. Our house sits on an acre of land, we desperately need to start doing some landscaping, but where do we begin, there's so much to do!

81. We've been to a taping of "Wheel of Fortune" it was cool, but would love to go to "The Price Is Right"

82. My favorite type of food is chinese food. Darin's is Mexican. Dillon like chinese too. Degan is happy with any fast food joint.

84. My favorite holiday is Easter. Darin's is Christmas. Dillon loves Halloween. Degan is just learning about holiday's. Dustin has no clue!!

85. Every Easter my family goes out to the Valley of Fire for an easter egg hunt, one of my favorite traditions!

86. We spend every Thanksgiving with Darin's family and every Easter with my family, we each picked a holiday we wanted to spend with our families every year and we never rotate.

87. Dillon loves to draw and I must say he's getting pretty dang good.

88. We slept in our car on our honeymoon night. It was spring break and Darin didn't reserve a room and everything was full.
89. We went on a cruise for our honeymoon, the carnival one that goes to catalina & ensenada, lots of fun! We want to do the Disney Cruise in a couple of years!
90. Darin would've liked to have been a fireman, and regrets not persueing it harder.
91. Dustin likes being held so much he'll reach for Dillon when he walks past him! It's actually really cute to watch Dillon try and tote him around!
92. We would like to live in St. George, well more on the outskirts like Dammeron Valley. It's to bad Utah wages stink. Maybe when Darin retires!
93. We lived with Darin's parents right after we had both Dillon & Degan, I told them I was moving back after Dustin cause it was so nice haveing extra hands!
94. Darin took two months off work after we had Degan & Dustin, it completley drained all his vacation & sick leave, but it was so nice to have him around.
95. Darin & the boys love to go 4-wheeling, we have nothing but desert behind us it's all BLM land so we can leave from our house & not bother anybody!
96. I want to get a rhino for me and the boys to cruise around, Dustin will be ready to go out 4-wheeling really soon!
97. I love having all boys, but if I was guaranteed 100% I could have a girl I would have another one!!
98. We are done having kids, at this point I don't feel like anyone is missing!
99. My kids love reading books, so I try to read to them every night before bed, they've been enjoying Dr. Suess allot lately.
